How the shop works

What the bill says is what we did

You hand over the keys and a description. We inspect the car, quote the work in writing and call before anything is added. Each part is listed with its price, each hour with the technician who worked it.

A written estimate is agreed before a wrench is turned.

  2. Old parts returned

Who runs the shop

One bay, three owners, no middlemen

The workshop opened in 2008 as a single bay with a second-hand lift and a borrowed compressor. It has been run by the same three technicians ever since.

Every car is looked at by the person who will repair it, and that person is on the phone when you call. We keep the shop small so that is always true.

We work on most makes from the last twenty-five years, and we say so plainly when a job belongs at a specialist.
